We’re thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for two Computing Technology Product Awards this year.

Computing's Technology Product Awards honour the finest of the UK technology sector; recognising everything from the most inventive and appealing products and providers to the most fascinating and successful end-user initiatives.

We have been shortlisted for:

  • Best Digital Transformation Product or Service for our work with the Welsh Government
  • Best Use of Open Source Technologies for our work with WRAP

Naturally, we’re thrilled by this. It recognises the depth of our experience in both Drupal hosting and development. It is mostly a result of the hard effort that our collaborative project teams have put in. These two excellent sites show how teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation can result in a fantastic user experience.

Welsh Government

Each time a feature branch is released, Code Enigma's client, the Welsh Government, conducts Behat group testing on their Drupal site. Because the multiple tests were run in order, it took many hours to perform them at the time. We were given the task of reducing testing time and deploying the feature branch site more quickly. To minimise testing time from hours to minutes, we implemented an efficient Kubernetes/Amazon EKS system.

Special mention goes to our System Administrator, Nick Fawbert for his efforts on this project.

WRAP

The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) is a charity that promotes and encourages sustainable resource usage through product design, waste minimisation, reuse, recycling, and reprocessing.

We were required to complete both frontend and backend work on WRAP’s Drupal 6 website in early 2020. We led project onboarding meetings with WRAP. We learned about them as a  client, the project domain, and the business objectives as a team during these onboarding sessions. The result was a beautifully rebuilt and responsive Drupal 8 site.
